Introduction

This course builds on your existing user-level knowledge and experience with personal computer operating systems and networks to present the fundamental skills and concepts that you will need to use on the job in any type of networking career.

Session 2 :  1.00am to 6.00pm

Course Objective

  1. Design and implement functional networks
  2. Configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices
  3. Use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks
  4. Identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations
  5. Implement network security, standards, and protocols
  6. Troubleshoot network problems
  7. Support the creation of virtualized networks

    Explain the purpose of a variety of networking concepts and implement them appropriately

  2. Infrastructure
    Determine & explain the appropriate cabling, device and storage technologies

  3. Network Operations
    Use best practices to manage the network, determine policies & ensure business continuity

  4. Network Security
    Summarize physical security & common attacks while securing the wired and wireless network

  5. Network Troubleshooting & Tools
    Explain the network troubleshooting methodolo- gy & appropriate tools to support connectivity & performance.
