RPA Programme

Introduction

Recognition of Prior Achievement (RPA) or formerly known as the Accreditation of Prior Achievement is a method to give recognition to any individual who can demonstrate skills outlined in the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS) based on prior experience and achievements. It emphasises the concept of life-long learning and this process can help individuals to evaluate and develop the learning they have acquired through formal and informal means.

Duration: 6 months

TVET System Pathway : Portfolio and Assessment

Malaysian citizen / PR with a minimum age of 18 years old.
Able to Read, Write and Communicate in Bahasa Melayu or English.
Able to use computer
Open to anyone who has the skills more than 5 years and knowledge in Nursery below 4 years regardless of when, how and where they were obtained, either through work experience, life experience or training (formal or informal).
Have strong evidence of duration of work experience

CO 01: ECCD Health & Nutrition Monitoring & Control
CO 02: ECCD Parental & Community Program Planning & Implementation
CO 03: ECCD Center Operation Administration
CO 04: ECCD Routine Care Planning & Supervision
CO 05: ECCD Development Program Implementation Supervision
CO 06: ECCD Staff Supervision & Welfare Coordination

All industrial workers from the Early Chidlhood or Nursery who have obtained the required working experience in the related field and have fulfilled other set conditions are eligible. Industrial workers who qualify will be awarded a Certificate up to the highest level according to their respective fields as specified in the National Occupational Skills Standards (NOSS)

Industry workers who are interested in gaining recognition for all their experience and skills, provide the following information for screening along with other supporting documents, namely:

Copy of applicant’s identity card;
Employer’s confirmation letter stating the period of work experience in the relevant skills;
Copy of highest SKM obtained (if any), and
Other relevant documents.

Note: Each copy must be certified by the employer or the Professional Management of Government Officials.
